Contour terrain
Prepare accurate topographic drawings of contour lines, determine the elevation difference of each contour line (for example, the elevation difference is 0.5m), and then prepare standby materials according to the model scale (the thickness of materials selected with 1:100 scale should be 5mm).
Note that when cutting KT version, drawings and plates should be marked accordingly to avoid confusion and waste of time and effort in proofreading again. All cut contour lines shall be pasted. UHU universal adhesive or 502 adhesive should not be used because it will corrode the board.
At the same time, if KT boards are selected, they should be stacked one by one, and should not be suspended in order to save materials. Due to the light weight of KT plate, the suspension will make the terrain itself unstable, making the buildings or environmental subjects on the terrain more difficult to bear. In the case of contour terrain made of wood or PVC materials, keel support can be used inside the terrain, and only the visible part of the surface can be cut and pasted, which can save materials and reduce the weight of the whole model while meeting the terrain effect.
Cumulative fluctuation
There are many ways to make stacked terrain, but the "skeleton" of the terrain must be done first. The skeleton can choose contour overlay, or use metal mesh to establish key position coordinates, or create the prototype of the terrain like a sculpture. There are many ways to accumulate terrain skeleton, which can be creative and tried.
The next step is to make a good "skin" of the stacking terrain. The skin can be made of clay, plaster, sculpture mud and other materials, which can be attached to the made bones for free shaping and trimming. There are many creative forms that can be used for leather making, and it is not necessary to be completely limited to the use of clay and gypsum.
Abstract terrain
The abstract terrain we refer to here is more the abstract creative terrain reflected in the model making after the producer has a deep understanding of the scheme. There is no specific production method for this terrain, which is based on the reasonable creativity of the producer. We use creative thinking to study how to make this terrain.
